Well the plans are finally finished for the line up for this year's 
festival and what a varied programme
it's going to be.....

BUT FIRST...THE NEXT AND LAST SESSION BEFORE THE SUMMER BREAK AT THE PLACE IN THE FRASER CENTRE!

Hurry, it will be a great night from Scotland's foremost traditional balladeer!

Now I know this is a long e-mail but sit back, relax and read on...

THE MUGDOCK FESTIVAL!

Starting with the opening ceremony on Friday night, 20th June at 7pm 
we have a concert featuring  Lev Atlas &
Nigel Clark plus support,  in the Mugdock Theatre. Tickets are 
limited to just 30 so if you would like a bit of Russian/jazz, gypsy music 
with one of Scotland's most talented violinists accompanied by a 
veritable 'whiz'on the guitar, this is for you! Tickets £12 from the 
booking office 0141 956 6100. You can also reserve tickets via the 
website (www.mugdockmusicfestival.co.uk).

Remember all performances on the Saturday and Sunday in the Courtyard 
at the visitor centre, are FREE. On Saturday, there will be groups 
from Spain, China, Sri Lanka as well as local artists Seylan Baxter & 
Cheyenne Brown and the Cross Border Band. We also have  Ben the 
Hoose, a fantastic duo from New Zealand who were voted best 
traditional act on a recent programme on New Zealand television!

On Saturday afternoon,( for just £12 adults and £3 for under 16's 
with under 5's free) you can enjoy a concert in the Walled garden, 
featuring the tremendous Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Prelude (a truly 
remarkable harmony group who had a great hit with 'After the 
Goldrush!) and a Massai WARRIOR dancing Troupe on tour from Kenya.

On Saturday evening, Michael Marra ( plus support) is appearing in 
the Theatre at 7.30pm  and tickets for that are £12. But get yours 
soon as this will be a sell out evening for one of Scotland's most 
prolific songwriters!

On Sunday in the Walled garden it's Diwan (led by Samba Sene), Beats 
of Brazil, Cross Border Band (+ guests) and the Monday Swing Band all 
for just £5. with under 16's £2 and under 5's free!

In the Courtyard, there are again many different acts performing from 
11.30am and they include; Ayawarra (Afro Drums), Romano Ilo (Romanian 
group), Gypsy Glasgow from Slovakia, Refugee Children/musicians from 
the RSAMD among many others.

2 days and 3 nights of BRILLIANT ENTERTAINMENT!

And finally....there will be an 'Open Mike' Competition in the 
Theatre on Sunday afternoon so if you are a budding singer/musician 
or acoustic group, let me know soon so we can give you a spot of
